James Reuter, Bio

 
James Reuter, a native of the Pacific Northwest has been serving business and organizations since 1970.  He picked up his skills in photography while serving in Vietnam.  His start was in photo documentation for the Counter Intelligence Division of III corps.  Upon his return, he finished his B.A. Degree at the University of Puget Sound, and worked on his minor in art taking subjects in photo-silk-screening, photocomposition, and darkroom techniques.
 
 
        His first commercial photography experience after graduation was with the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, where he acquired skills in Construction, Industrial, Events, and Architectural photography.  Since that time and up to the present, he has done award photography for Multicare Health Systems, Port ofTacoma, City of Tacoma, NW Home Designing, Globe Machine, Baxter/Hobart, Museum of Flight, and other numerous clients and organizations.  His favorite photography work is taking event photos, social functions, and wedding events with a strong emphasis on photojournalism.  He has been active in volunteer work for the Red Cross, Tacoma Chamber of Commerce, Leukemia Society of America, Mary Bridge, American Heart Association, Civic Arts Commission and many other non-profit organizations.
